Valentin pops out. What an inexcusably dumb move by Narron.

Maybe. But I put about as much stock in those two coming out of their "slumps" as I did D'Angelo Jimenez. His game went south and if you had two eyes you could see it. I think they're both toast (though Pena's a never-wuz, and Kearns a could have been); they had some value at the deadline (all you had to do was listen to all the glowing things other gms were saying viz Kearns), but if they suck through the end of the year, they're worthless (not below worthless, like Casey, but worthless in terms of bringing pitching in return).

Gosh dangit. First we have a horrible right handed hitter pinch hit, when 2 of our best offensive players are sitting on the bench. I don't think the sacrifice bunt was the best choice ever either. Hopefully Griffey or Dunn will pinch-hit for Kearns, Pena, or somebody in the 9th.

Lopez is has 0-18 in the past 4 games.... Narron isnt given him a day off till wednesday.

Freel has also been crappy at the plate.

Im so glad they have Olmedo holding down the bench for them.

Both Freel and Lopez are as dead as a doornail.
