I'm glad to see Junior in there today.

It'd be interesting if someone could find his numbers in Sunday home games this season. Seems like he goes deep everytime.

If Adam Dunn has to sit against every lefty, then why doesn't Sean Casey(.789 OPS vs RHP) sit against righthanders?

I hope they don't bring back Narron. Bring in a guy that will play Dunn everyday.

I think Dunn sitting is more a product of him struggling pretty bad and he hasn't had a day off in a while. With tomorrow being an off day, they probably just want to get him two days in a row. And with the way Wily Mo punishes lefties, why wouldn't this be a good day to get Dunn a rest and Wily Mo some at-bats?

Dunn looked lost at the plate last night. Lost.
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.

Yep, the guy will get a blow now and then, his career numbers in August are below his norm and September has historically been unkind to him. Perhaps some rest will stretch him out further is the hope.

Re: 8/21 - Reds vs. Diamondbacks

according to espn.com Adam dunn has appeared in 122 games this year.

The Reds have played 123. So even when he doesn't start he usually gets a PH appearance.

After doing a quick scan of his game log, it looks like he hasn't been in the starting lineup 6 times all year. That's not a lot.
School's out. What did you expect?

He had the one decent AB - the BB.

To his credit, he did go back and talk to Chambliss after every AB.

I don't have a problem with him sitting today. Plus he went into the wall pretty hard the other day so might be a little dinged up.

Here's my thing with giving guys days off...I'm fine with it, everybody needs it.

I don't think you should do it AT HOME....at least give the fans, especially the fans of a non-contending ballclub, something to watch

    That's 1/2 the games in a season.

Barring working matchups, possible fatigue, injuries and any other sort of life changing situations seems to be an impossible task.

Funny, I looked at the starters and thought: "7-4 D-Backs."
