Pettitte has only allowed more than 3 ERs in 2 starts....

    That's impressive.

Right. Which explains why the offense went belly-up against a Rodriguez and Springer for six innings last night.

The Reds offense looks lost, the Astros have a game plan.

Against the Braves, the problem is purely pitching. Against the Astros it is everything.

I agree, but Pena has a little more pop is his bat.

Dunn has now gone 6 games without a single strikeout.

His numbers in that span? .200/.360/.450, 1 HR, 4 RBI.

    Start striking out!!!

    Re: 8/31/2005 Reds and Astros

The Reds are 32-23 since July 1. The weighted average record of the teams they've played over that stretch is 63-69. The only teams they've played during that stretch with winning records are the Braves, Astros, Marlins, and Nats. Their collective record against those teams is 5-10. Yes, they've been playing better, but the competition has a lot to do with it.
