    he spent most of his time as a basketball writer and columnist. Although he did cover baseball early in his career, managers did not like him or his questions.

    Freel lost his bat into the stands and wanted it back, so he went and got it. A few seemed to boo him.

    Freel walks. 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. Freel's bid at hitting for the cycle is ended.
