    My instructions to my pitching staff in facing the Pirates would be that Jason Bay should never see a strike with runners on base. He's the modern day Indian Bob Johnson.

    Even then I might be tempted.

    Just looked this up. Do you know how hard it is to load the bases in front of Jason Bay? Hitting in the middle of the Pirates batting order all season he's only got eight bases loaded plate appearances.
