Unless EE is hurt then I do not agree with having him on the bench here.

Also not a fan of Kearns not batting cleanup, has more HRs then Rich and he spent a month in AAA.

I don't think it's going to hurt EE to sit every few games. Actually I think it might do him some good.

As for RA batting cleanup what can I say?

Encarnacion said he hurt his right shoulder Saturday night - the day after the errant throw to Casey - on a slide across home plate. He took electro-stimulation and ice before Sunday's game, and hopes to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's game. The Reds are off today.

The Reds are like those dog turds that sit out in the sun too long, dry out, and turn white.

So... I had this discussion with my wife the other day on a hike about why a dog turd turns white after so long.

Being an enviromental studies major she informed me that the white is mineral residue!!

Now we all can sleep at night.

Batting Aurilia 4th shows Narrons love of a contact hitter in the middle of the lineup..... note contact as the description of what he likes, not on base percentage, not power, not batting average... but contact.

    Whoop dee do.....

    Kearns since Aug 15:

    .245/.372/.520

    Dunn, career:

    .248/.383/.518

Adam Dunn must be teaching classes now or something.

Let the George Grande/Cardinal love fest commence. George is probably very sad that Jim Edmonds isn't in the lineup though.

George can't talk about the Cards without slipping them the tongue.

    George Grande drinking game:

Take a drink everytime he says "Reds Killer" or "Jim Edmonds" during the course of a Cardinals game. You will be drunk in no time.

Again...I have to defend Aurilia as the clean-up hitter. He's put up the big numbers with RISP (.340/.387/.585). Personally, I'd rather have Kearns clean-up and RA 5th, but Aurilia is a perfectly reasonable choice to bat clean-up.
