When he used to fill in at 1B, he always borrowed Casey's glove. Maybe his hasn't arrived yet.
Aurilia was ordering glove(s) just a few days ago; maybe Adam placed his order then.
Is there any advantage to practicing with a smaller glove and then switch to the real thing when game time arrives?

Dunn looks like he lost some weight in that picture TB posted. Kearns is looking a lot thinner, too.
If I was to guess the reason for the middle infielders glove has to do with getting used to the position more. If you can field grounders with a smaller glove then you can do it with a first basemens mit a lot easier. Makes you get lower to the ground with the smaller glove. Also makes you keep that other hand right there by it cause it can pop out easier. Just my thought on the picture.
Yeah, I think that's exactly it. Also, if the drill involved any throwing it's a whole lot easier to get the ball out of an infield glove to make a throw than a larger first baseman's glove. I played first most of high school and I always kept a small glove in my bag for any fielding drills where we had to do quick transfers.Originally Posted by Shaknb8k
Not really. You want to get good with what you have to use in a game. Totally different feel, especially when fielding grounders, between a small glove like that and a firstbaseman's mitt.Originally Posted by TeamBoone

It didn't work this time. I need to practice.
