No, it screams: we're willing to sacrifice some offense if someone will just catch and throw the damn ball for a change. And Loretta and Youkilis(and Crisp) should be able to take advantage of Fenway for bunches of doubles. The others seem like black holes with gloves.
I didn't see the game, but that trade is looking like a good one. I had a buddy call me from the game and watched Wily Mo in batting practice and just said awesome, but the fact is he does it in batting practice and I'm so glad this FO had the balls to trade potential for quality and todays outing shows we picked a pitcher who can pitch a little.
