Real nice. Drop Dunn in the order for Aurilia.
Jerry, I've given up any hope for you.

Yeah, someone needs to tell Narron it needs to be the good hitter, bad hitter thing.Originally Posted by Wheelhouse

I would have thought Jerry or Wayne would have benched him for good.

It's really no big deal.

This should be an interesting game. The Reds have had problems with soft-tossing lefting for just about forever. Meanwhile, if Arroyo can keep Pierre and Walker off the bases, the rest of the lineup is awfully right-handed. It should be a good matchup for Bronson.

He was dropped one spot folks, big freakin' deal.

I don't like it but if it's any conselation (sp.), I occasionally hit Aurilia 4th, and Dunn is 3rd (With Jr. 5th) on MLB 2006 the Show when Kearns needs a day off.Originally Posted by Red Leader

3 year splits versus lefties:
Dunn (487 AB): .220/.339/.462
Aurilia (373 AB): .268/.340/.458
and for good measure..
Griffey (336 AB) .247/.337/.494
I'm now slightly less mad than I was 30 seconds ago. That said, Encarnacion hit .246/.338/.477 in 65 AB last year. I could complain, but given the real effect (or essential lack thereof) of batting order and the balance in performance, I'll give narron a pass.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
As far as matching up against Rusch goes, I don't think Dunn 4th or 5th makes much difference. The downside of hitting Dunn 5th is that later in the game when the Cubs come back with a RH reliever (and they will), he's not in place to do maximum damage.

Just throwing this out there, but Rich Aurilia is 1-8 in his career against Rusch, with his one hit being a single.
Maybe he's due
