Baseball Tonight to talk to Arroyo shortly

It sounds like they will talk to Bronson Arroyo later in the show as part of their new "talk to players and staff" part of the show. Just a FYI.

Arroyo says the HR were "nice."

He says he played SS through High School and usually made contact on the fastball. No chance with sliders though.

Says Narron says he will be the DH during interleague.

Gammons thinks he's more "over the top" so far with his pitches this year. He says he's tough and will battle for his teammates. He says they will die for him.

Kruk says he'll help a player out if they get hit by a pitch.

Reynolds says he'll be a dynamite pitcher in the NL.

    And that was that basically.

He makes a good point, Arroyo's one of those pitchers you have to learn. He's throwing 3 pitches at various speeds and arm angles, and he can be pretty tough on righties. He may just thrive in the NL central, and will be a big upgrade for us against guys like D. Lee and Pujols.

Yep, and you know the only reason they interviewed him is cause he was a former Sox man. And that whole "only the second pitcher to hit HRs in first 2 starts of the season" thing. Dang big market bias...

Well, you'd figure if a guy hits a Grand Slam it might get mentioned on a show called Baseball Tonight...not to mention the Reds hit a total of Six homers off Cubs pitching...but I can see where that would not be worth mentioning. ESPN SUCKS
