Anyone else think Harang is gonna rack up the K's today?

I am wondering how much we can read into the fact the Phillips is playing 2nd and Aurilia SS. It says to me that they the interest in finding out if Phillips is a potential long term solution at 2B rather than a utility type.

I actually feel pretty good about the game today. With Harang on the hill, if the offense can scratch across three runs it should be a good day.

Tony Womack can't buy his way into the lineup right now and he can't be happy about it.

I'd switch Phillips and Aurilia's positions.

Does Phillips have enough range to cover the gaping holes on each side of him? He's going to need to cover a LOT of ground today.

I was all for giving Dunn the day off today, as he is 0-for-7 vs Willis - but I can see why Narron wouldn't want to sit both Lopez and Dunn on the same day.

I think so, in Monday's game he was on the other side of second on a play up the middle when Lopez threw wildly to first.

I originally thought that's what they'd do, but now that I think about it, it's probably smart leaving Phillips at second. If they have any thoughts at all of him taking over the job long term, they need to put him there and leave him there.

    Makes sense.

Phillips plays both positions real well.

Aurilia plays a very bad SS, but is actually a passable 2ndbaseman.

If the option is playing McCracken that isn't much of a choice even if Dunn has struggled with Willis(BTW, most players have). With Dunn there is always the chance he gets hold of one and today it would likely be a game channging event.

I think the point is the Reds really want to see Phillips at 2b.

Anyone claimed PBP for this one? I've got time today.

    Even with Rich batting third.
