No doubt. Now if Denorfia were with the club...

I can see that so I don't have a huge beef with it.

No Denorfia in the lineup at Louisville today, could he be on his way up?

He's too valuable to play every day in LOU.

    Reds against Willis

    Dunn 0-7
    Kearns 2-11
    Freel 4-13
    Aurilia 2-13
    Larue 3-7
    EE 1-2
Hatteberg and Phillips have never faced him.

Yup, and Narron pays a great lip service to defense, but it doesn't ever translate to what he puts on his lineup cards.

And the Reds envisioned Pokey Reese as their second basemen of the future and he basically learned on the job in the ML's - yet when Larkin needed a breather it was still Reese who slid over for the day, so the Phillips needs to stay at second is a fallacy. One game isn't gonna stunt his develoment, nor will it hinder the Reds from assessing him long term as a second base answer. If anything it allows the Reds to see him at SS so if Lopez goes down with an injury they have options.

In his mind, it does. He thinks Aurilia is a quality defensive SS.

A lineup with Rich batting 3rd Austin 5th and Edwin 7th is not a good lineup. Narron should at least swich the 3 and 5 spots. I don't know everybody's numbers against Willis though. None of them can be good.

The key today is getting into the pen. Willis throws A LOT of pitches and seems to either go 5 innings or 9. They need to work the count and have him throw around 20 pitches per inning.

I also think BP should be at 2B despite a statue at SS. But moving him to the 2 hole this quick? dunno about that. It took Kearns a while just to move up to 4th from 7th.
