CIN Aaron Harang, RHP (5-1, 4.02)
PIT Paul Maholm, LHP (1-4, 5.03)

    Scouting Report:
Harang kept his streak of five straight winning decisions alive by getting a no-decision during the Reds' 9-6 win over Washington on Wednesday. The right-hander gave up four runs on seven hits over six innings, including a pair of home runs.

After a rough start, Maholm has turned in three straight encouraging starts, allowing just five runs over 18 2/3 innings. The 23-year-old has rarely been at his sharpest, though, having allowed 32 baserunners over that span. In three career starts against the Red Legs, Maholm is 1-1 with a 3.15 ERA.

Hey, does anybody remember the little blurb in The Sporting News at the beginning of the season that said something to the effect that on opening day, Reds fans could come out and watch the Pirates and see what a team looked like that could actually afford players like Sean Casey and Joe Randa?

I might switch it around a bit, but I like Dunn batting fifth.

Lopez and Encarnacion are back to back righties, unless the Pirates put a right handed pitcher in for relief later in the game.
