Ricky Weeks leads the game off taking two breaking balls for called strikes. Arroyo makes a habit of fooling hitters by throwing odd pitches in odd counts. He strikes out swinging on the next pitch as Arroyo is off to a great start.

    1 out.

Arroyo's curveball looks great so far.

    T1, 1 out

Brady Clark, the ex-Red and current Reds killer, up next and drops a base hit in front of Ken Griffey Jr. as Marty makes excuses for Junior losing the ball in the sun.

the sun may have been a factor, but he's been doing this long enough, he should have gotten to it.

Why doesn't Hall bat in the 2 spot instead of Juicy Juicing Brady Clark?

Geoff Jenkins up next. I wonder if his parents just HAD to be different when coming up with a name. Apparently it was either Geoff or Coree. Arroyo gets ahead in the count and puts Jenkins away on a breaking ball.

    T1, 1 on, 2 out

Carlos Lee, another Reds killer (noticing a trend), up next with Clark on first. Lee falls quickly behind in the count 0-2, which is good for Arroyo, because he loves expanding the zone on hitters when he gets ahead and then dropping that curveball into the zone.

    Clark steals 2nd.

Lee hits a little flare out to center that Brandon Phillips manages to track down. At least someone patroling center has range.

    3 out, Reds up next

Felipe Lopez leads off for the Redlegs. He's up there in Runs Created this year as well, #2 on the team behind Dunn. I hate seeing him bat leadoff, but he's the best of what's around.

The count runs full to 3-2 -- nice to see Felipe taking some pitches and working Bush a little. Lopez walks, to force Bush into the stretch.

    Good AB
