    I think the Cards are about out of relief pitchers. They are on their 8th in the game and Hancock is out in the 13th for his 3rd inning of work. I gave their roster a quick glance and I don't see another reliever that's available. They even had to resort to keeping Hancock in the game to bat in the bottom of the 12th with the bases loaded and only 1 out. LaRussa decided to chance it with Hancock and he struck out.

    TLR loves to shuffle the players in and out. Many times during the season he will paint himself into a corner when a game like this presents itself.

    Cubs beat Cardinals 5-4 in 14. We gain a game on them in the standings!
