    I'll say it again - Ed's Zone's gotten smaller.

actually the catcher didn't pull the 2-2 pitch to RA, he thought it was a strike. The pitch on Dunn the cather jerks his glove 3-4 inches(an obvious sign the pitch was a ball) and the ump rings him up.

You still can't stand up there with the bat on your shoulder when you are down 0-2. You have to protect the plate.

Ross hits it to the deepest part of the park - flies out to Center -

End of 2 - No Score.

Grande seems to be calling those lazy flies a little better these days. Wonder if someone told him to watch the fielder?

Ok, I'm gonna need a Steve Stewart - I'm going to have to step out for a while.

Hitters shouldn't have to change their approach because of a stupid umpire's inconsistent strikezone. I would rather Dunn take a pitch 4-6 inches off the plate rather than swing and pop it up weakly.

    or K looking.

Did he even swing at a pitch during that AB? There were two thrown right down the pike as far as I'm concerned.

He put himself in a hole.

Pull that pitch up on gametracker or CBS Sportsline. It was way to close for him to have the bat on his shoulder.

I pesonally thought it was a good pitch - could have gone either way. Caught the corner.

And yes, a hitter does need to change his approach when he is down with an 0-2 count. Protect the plate, or you're gonna be walking back to the dugout with bat in hand.

He swung at the first pitch.

The called strike three was at least four inches outside, probably closer to six. That pitch is unhittable and should never, ever be called a strike. It was just another ridiculous strike call against Dunn. Umps continue to screw him for some reason.

Well, we'll respectfully disagree on that on that one then. I'm watching, and it was a slider that nipped the corner of the plate - it wasn't way outside.

And again - Game tracker shows that too.

When this team is having issues, THEY ALL just seem to suck. I have never seen anything like it.
