I agree about the players only meeting. This losing at home and losing to teams like the Royals HAS to stop. The Cardinals are on an unbelievable losing streak and we are not taking advantage as we should be. If it isn't one thing, it seems to be another. Lack of offense/good starting pitching, good offense/bad starting pitching, coupled with a consistently shaky bullpen. Whatever it takes ... something needs to change and this team needs to start turning it around NOW. They are too good to be losing to the Royals at home in a game they NEED to win to gain ground in the division.
Well, this 9-8 debacle wasn't exactly an ideal way to convince your fans that they're a part of your success.Go get'tem tomorrow.

Kearns had a horrible at-bat in the 9th....looked like he was swinging for fences.
The bunt attempt was just a bad decision in my opinion. I think Marty was right to "whine" about both.
