Sounds like last year's REDS...should we pity them?

Wow...I turned back to the game just to see what was happening. Bases loaded...2 outs...bottom of the 9th. Dunn at the plate. I'll be honest...I thought that this could turn out well, but if it didn't Dunner would never hear the end of it on this board. I was afraid of another let down as they seem to have had several late inning rallys fizzle lateley.

But there it was. A majestic 2nd swing, no doubter, gone, game wining grandslam. I love this game. They were misearable until what, the 7th or 8th inning. 9 runners left stranded but then the magic started happening. Juan "he's old so he must suck" Castro hits a bomb. The Kearns dumps one in the seats. But the Dunn blast...a shot...a no doubter. You felt the energy building and then BLAMO...it's gone. Game over. Here's the pitch..he makes that big swing of his...arms fully extended. The reds are mobing him at home plate. He's got a huge smile on his face. And this one belongs to the Reds!

    God I love this game.

I was just reporting what was said about no one in top 10 lol. Brantley said no superstars on team except for Junior. Thats funny that they don't look up the stats.

    That's more than none....
Still not sure they know about the Reds. Their All-Star picks had only Arroyo.....and Dunn was an afterthought.

No Phillips...heck even Ross was rocking their C pick, McCann from Bravo's. (5 dingers, 23 Rbi)

I was so bored tonight I was like, well I'll finish watching the game and maybe the Reds will make a nice a play or something. I'll say Brandon Phillips made a nice play in the 8th inning, but other than that I think it was a waste of time.

Well, I watched the whole game. I laughed, I cried, and at the end I scared the crap out of the dog while going absolutely out of my mind in disbelief, I then rolled my ankle jumping up and down over and over and over again. But you know what? It could be broken and I wouldn't care, because THIS ONE BELONGS TO THE FREAKIN REDS!! :dancingco
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

The last game ending grand slam that provided a one-run victory was by Jason Giambi May, 17, 2002.

Doubt it was with 2 outs, though..

    edit..it wasn't...No outs..

I only watched the 1st, 8th, and 9th innings. Thats was about all I needed to know I guess. I think Dunn will probably get a one week grace period, now.

BTW, already listened to Marty's call, as usual, a classic. I'm still in disbelief. And against the Indians. It would be fun to be the visitors' locker room attendant tonight.
