I missed the game, had to turn it off because I took my wife to the hospital. rare virus, fever over 100 degrees for 5 days in a row. Keep her in your thoughts. I told her the Reds won...the virus must be good luck...she wasen't laughing. I'm way to superstitous. We will get the blood work back tomorrow.

Just listened to the archived ninth inning on mlb.com.

Agree with others herein, that was one helluva homerun call by Marty. Probably one of the best I have ever heard from him. He met the moment. That's the announcer I grew up being so fond of. Nice to hear. His gamecalls, when he is into it, remain among the best I have ever heard.

Got home at one. Fireworks were awesome. Aurillia left half a village on the basepaths and cannot play 3B at all. (Two balls hit near him are outs if Freel or Encarnacion are playing.) Kearns, at this point, either crushes the ball or K's. No in-between. Lopez getting hot. Phillips is the second coming of Joe Morgan.

    And Dunn.

My nine-year-old nephew (first Red game ever) told me before Freel took the BB that Dunn would win it with a walk-off grand slam. The look on his face... Absolutely vintage.

Hey Guys, Just wanted to say, ITS A GREAT DAY TO BE A REDS FAN

PS - I was working a baseball tourny tonight here in Columbus... Had the game on most of the night... Then turned it off after we went down 7-0.

Alot of people were talking about the game... I turned it back on after the game to find out about the Dunn homer... There was alot of disapointed customers tonight when I told them about the great ones homer.

As much as I hate for this night to end, I need to go to sleep.

To the Reds, the fans, and most importantly Adam Dunn!

How would someone in Gainesville, FL hear Marty's excellent call?

Reading over the earlier posts on here - it was already a guaranteed loss, the bubble had finally burst, and we were on the downhill slide. Of course every loss puts us on a downhill slide.

    O Ye of little faith!

I laid in bed and watched the game because these gamethreads are a perfect example of bipolar disorder.

It's like listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall!

If we happen to lose Saturday - the end is near again.
