Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never say that! Bob Boone couldn't successfully manage Walmart - never, never, never say this again or I shall be forced to place you on ignore!

And that scares me for the future.
That's exactly what I think too. But, of course, a few posters will come in and call us Oliver Stone and make some wise cracks and say that EE will be the 3B when he is 100% healthy.

I'm not giving Rich a night off if I'm playing the hot hand; instead, I give Mr. Phillips the pine. He's tin-toilet-seat-in-Siberia cold right now.

Me too - although a lot of people have made the assertion that he wouldn't be a good second basemen either. Not getting to see him as much as others I shall defer whether or not that would be correct, but based on my gut I agree with you wholeheartedly.

They are. When the old man balked at this game, they pressed on without me.

BTW, they are lost in Alexandria, KY right now and trying to get back to I-75. One of the boys is the son of the Baptist preacher in town and he sold them on a shortcut. Hope they make it there before the National Anthem.

I hope Rich commits four errors tonight and goes 0-for-5. But he will play again tomorrow anyway. EE makes an error he gets benched, Rich makes one and plays the next day and bats fourth.

Easy bro, I'm as big a fan of EE as anyone on this board, but to wish for Miley or even worse Boone back is a little ridiculous. Narron has this team in a race for the Pennant and leading the Wild Card, lineups be damned, wins are what matter.

Why do you sit Edwin when he has been on base 7 of his last 9 plate appearances?

You'd see the same kind of crap fielding from him at second--he's got a bad body type for pivot positions, like SS and 2nd.

I for one don't see Felipe as a .750 OPS kind of guy--I think in his peak years he'll OPS steadily in the .800-.825 range, which isn't a black hole in left.

Do you hope they lose too? Because if that happens it's likely that will be the outcome.

    I disagree.

I think it's pretty clear they're showcasing Aurillia's bat to see if he can't grab some attention and value for himself as a chip at the deadline. They can't afford to put Hatteberg's ~.900 OPS on the bench, so Edwin becomes the odd man out leading up to the deadline.

That's my read on the situation, based on Narron's comments about liking EE's work and the popular belief the Reds aren't done trading yet.

You're giving Narron way to much credit. IMO.

He thinks RA is a solid vet who knows how to play the game the right way.

Seems likely after reading TC's Texas trade on Live!
