Correction.. I just found out Betemit is even younger. During "age gate" it was discovered Betemit actually raised his age so he could get started early. Its never been corrected.

    Betemit is NOT 26
He's 24. His official date of birth was never fixed. It's correct on sites like baseball-reference, baseballprospectus, etc.

    See:

Shapiro says Betemit's birth date is Nov. 2, 1981, and he hints the club had full knowledge of Betemit's true birthday when he was flown to the United States four years ago to sign a contract.

"The number one thing to remember is youth is on his side," Braves farm director Dayton Moore said. "He will play the whole year at 22.

Last year was not his Age 24 season, but his Age 22 season, and he was one of the younger players to play the whole season in the majors. What with the age adjustment the other way, he was slightly younger than Furcal was in his rookie season.

Which guy would you take now Flyer? Baez is a FA at years end.. and Willie Aybar only posted his "amazing OPS" after repeating the league. Aybar is nothing special. Betemit has the potential to be.

An early treaty gave the Shawnees (and other tribes possibly) claim to land north of the Ohio.
Just another treaty with the Indians that we broke... don't worry, we'll memoralize you guys up in Cleveland.

    But I could be wrong.
Now they are suing the state so they can build a casino up in this region as compensation.

They just dropped their current suit vs the state and are going to re-introduce it.

Personally, it ain't gonna fly here in Ohio.

I'd be more then happy to give them back Wapak though. It's just up the road on US33, and I've been there.

Reminds me of that bit in Blazing Saddles.... "Alright, the ******, ******, and ****** can stay! But we don't want the Irish!"

I live in the heart of it all. The Amish buggies are constant travellers up and down this road.

They have a great little General Store just down the road with all types of neat produce, bulk goods and furniture. And it ain't cheap either!

My kids like the solid oak Amish casket that is on display. Only $400.

Me? I like their homemade pies (black raspberry or mulberry..... mmmmmmm)

Adam Dunn has been playing especially well since just before the break, not just in Houston. Plus, he's signed through 2008; if he wanted to play in Houston, he wouldn't have done that.
