you can't assume a DP.

I dont think one run will consitute an ongoing slide. You may wanna actually give him a chance and see what happens before you tag him with todays loss.

Understood, I'm just jumpy. I want this one bad. In his good starts early in the season he did give up some early runs and then cruised. I'll try to keep my smile though.

I was going to post the same thing, since the error allowed the runner to advance, and a single would not have scored the runner from second. I thought it should be unearned.

Probably because the error put him on 2nd, and without error bases would have theoritically been left loaded. It started earned, but became unearned by no further damage, I think.
