Pittsburgh has beaten on Jeff Suppan for a couple of second-inning runs, grabbing a 2-1 lead. It would have been three had Zach Duke been able to get a bunt down properly.

The fact that I actually have to cheer for something in Pittsburgh is disturbing. Oh well, at least it's not them dirty Steelers.

I always have been, thats why I went out on a limb and said I liked the deal after being against "the trade" and the deal for Cormier

Unfortunately the Pirates have perhaps the most overrated pitching prospect in modern times, Zach Duke, going for them.

Small victories: Freel has the first good AB against him tonight.

Clayton going up there hacking at the first pitch is mind numbing. If he could of gotten on or worked a walk...the pitcher could sacrifice...who knows...

It's not Jimmy Rollins being known as "J-Roll" that I find funny- it's the ancient Phillies TV guy, Harry Kalas (the NFL Films guy) calling him that.

Lohse whiffs J-Roll for his third straight.
