I remember him signing that big deal in LA as if he was the next HOF.

Go Gators!
Does Green start for the Dodgers or is he a bench player?
Green is now with the D'Backs. His last really good year was in 2002, and his OPS has been dropping almost every year since then. This year he has only 10 HR's and 48 RBI in 394 AB's with a mediocre OPS of .778Originally Posted by JTMONEY

yeah im a little out of this discussion, dont know much about the dodgers or the diamondbacks
They were talking about it on the D'Backs telecast. Talking about how Green and Delgado are very best friends. But Green is playing in the game for Arizona.
The East Valley (Ariz.) Tribune reported that the Diamondbacks planned to approach outfielder Shawn Green to waive his no-trade clause to be dealt to the Mets. A Met insider suggested that while the deal is "out there," it is not close to happening. Green, who will make $9.5 million next year and has a mutual option of $10 million for 2008, told the paper that he would seriously weigh the move if and when it happens. "I'd have to consider it, if it is something that comes to fruition," said Green, who played with Carlos Delgado in Toronto, and, according the paper, had Delgado in his wedding party. "There has been speculation all season. I don't pay attention to it."

the snakes would be better without him
This is bad if he goes to the Mets. Hopefully, he will not go to the Astros. I still consider Houston a threat to the end and don't want them to pick up any hitters.
