How has Lohse looked tonight? Has he been hit hard?

No, not too badly. Peavy's just dominated.

Case in point: Lohse whiffs Mike Piazza on three straight hooks. One down.

    69. He should have little trouble finishing the game from a pitch count perspective

Petco plays more pro-pitcher. Comerica's had its fences moved in from when it opened.

Another vicious hook juuuuust a bit outside to Adrian Gonzalez, but he whiffs him anyway on the next one with a change. Three Ks in a row, two out.

Mike Cameron is 2-for-2, so Lohse walks him on four straight. Two walks.

Bray kicking like a mule in the pen.

Both teams are in the same stadium and one of them is hitting. The Reds have one hit.

There is something fundamentally wrong with an offense that fails so often on the road. Look at the Reds road hitting numbers. Eighth in the NL in runs, 13th in hits.

Lohse hasn't pitched that badly tonight but there is no Reds offense so far.

    Off topic:

They just showed the USC cheerleaders. They have to be the best looking cheerleaders in all of football, including the NFL...wow USC beating Ark. 23-7 in the 3rd.

When ballplayers don't listen or won't listen to the hitting coach, maybe it's time for a new hitting coach.

Lohse falls behind, but Blum fouls off a couple.

On ball three, Cameron steals second and Ross' throw would have required a stepladder to catch. E-2 puts Mike on third.
