SLG, and to a lesser degree OPS, doesn't tell the story as it relates to run production regardless of the player. Dunn's SLG is obviousy heavily HR dependent, while another player may have equivalent #'s with RISP jam packed with singles and doubles. Point being that 4 singles with runners in scoring position count the same as 1 HR. Which player knocks in the most runs? Gotta look outside OPS for that. I think that is at the heart of the frustration with Dunn for those who are. He's expected to drive in runs and he doesn't convert the same # of times as other "big sticks" around the league.

For me, I'll take the OBP at the top of the lineup all day. Keep him out of the middle. Let him hit 40, walk 100+ and score 100+. I think he's miscast hitting in traditional RBI slots. But that's just my opinion.

Ugh. Aurilia doesn't check the runner before backing up to get the force at 3rd and Castillo scores.

What was Aurilia doing? How could the runner score on a sharp grounder right to Rich?

Marty & Steve say Aurilia would of had Castillo at home, but Aurilia seemed to think Castillo would not chance it and stepped on 3rd for the forceout on the hitter before throwing home and was late. Ouch!

What are the odds that Wise ends up left on second base?
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Way better than the odds of Wise getting there in the first place.

Dunn's BA with RISP for August -- .188. Dunn's BA with RISP in Sept so far is .000 in a few at bats.

Dunn's OPS and OBP numbers are heavily dependent on his walks and home runs. I think we would all agree that his homers with RISP are good. I think there would be sharp disagreement about his walks with RISP.

Slugging Percentage correlates more highly with RBI acquisition rates than anything else. It tells more of the story than anything else.
