As I said, any good third baseman makes that play. There was plenty of time, he just didn't make the throw.

Nope, didn't have plenty of time. That is why it was a hit. He should have held onto it and taken the single.

Everyone picking on Franklin and he deserves it. But EE has to make that play. Any good third baseman gets that guy and no runs score.

EE is now better on routine plays, but when he has to throw quickly he almost always makes a bad throw. It's like he throws before he looks at his target. And he still throws sidearm.

With the Reds middle relief, fielders can't give teams extra outs, as EE did there.

Lots of good third basemen threw sidearm. George Brett, Ron Cey, Wade Boggs.

In the end, the pitchers have to make the pitch as well and a manager has to manage.

In Narron's defense, the ouija board was missing. Must have been in Adam Dunn's golf bag.

EE's error moved the runner to 2nd but if you assume he gets on first on the infield single all those runs would have scored anyway on the doubles.
