I think the simple answer is you want as many LH hitters as possible against Peavy.

    Let's hope it works.

Just my opinion but you don't sit your best players in a crucial game. I don't care what Freel or Ross are hitting against Peavy. They are the best the Reds have at their respective positions. It seems like Narron is doing his best not to give the Reds their best chance of winning. I hope it works out but I think we are looking at getting shut out tonight.

I think Junior's done for this season. I said it when he limped off the field after hurting his toe.

Hey at this point with Narron, I'm happy with any lineup that does not have Royce Clayton in it---we can't ask for too much...

Unfortunately Loriano left the game with elbow issues again.

Wouldn't sit Dunn, Aurilia, or EE regardless of pitcher. But Freel and Ross haven't hit so well lately that they must play every game.

Peavy's ERA against lefties is 4.64; he is more effective (4.01) against righties. He has given up twice as many homers to lefty hitters than to righties (14 v. 7).

I think Jerry is doing the correct thing here.

Exactly. I'd love to read your defense of Narron's prowess. That should be a hoot.
