Griffey picked up the slack after Ross whiffed with a runner at 1st and 3rd.

Just turned on the game and caught Griff entering the dugout. I thought it was a highlight from a previous game or something.

    Now tied with Reggie, right?

Man, Denorfia really rolls over on the ball. He is a groundball machine.

    It's official....day to day= 3 weeks.

Since the injury on Sept. 4th, he and Dunn have now combined for 2 homers and 7 rbi.

Nice to see Arroyo off the hook for the L as well.

Reds win 5-4. Great comeback win for the final home game of the year.

Just think about this guys the pitching staff did not give up an earned run today.
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

They wheeled a 3x4 steel safe into the clubhouse Sunday morning to store the players' valuables. It took four guys to lift it off a dolly and onto a table.

Said pitcher Kent Mercker: "What's that, Junior Griffey's wallet?"

"And this one belongs to the Reds." Great job Arroyo. Congratulations to JR on his homerun. SS gets the win and Weathers gets the save.

Wow I walk away from my desk for a minute and miss the return of Junior. Reds now 4 behind the Cards.

I swear Junior's talent lies as much in heroics as it does in baseball.

More importantly, the Reds had a losing record with Junior's bat out of the lineup. Oh, what might have been this month had he not been "day to day"

Just got back from the game. Sat with TB, TM and Kitty who lost another beer - payable on a date to be determined - because of the Reds' comeback.

Had this guy sitting about 4 rows behind us who ragged on Coffey and a couple of other players. But he saved his best stuff for Jr. Said Jr. is on vacation and stupid crap like that. When Jr. hit his HR, he didn't stand up, cheer or even clap. His wife was but he just stayed in his seat with his arms folded. Kitty thought he might post here but I assured her it wasn't so because he was too positive.

Great day for a game. Not an extraordinary amount of Cubs fans there today. Only about 16K total.

Thanks for the game report Chip. It seems wierd that the fan did not cheer.
