    Do we want that guy next year? He's been a helluva mixed bag with us, which seems to be his modus operandi. When he looks good, he looks REALLY good. When he is bad, there are few worse. My opinion? We could probably do worse for a 5th starter.
    I agree, although did you ever notice how many fifth starters the Reds have? Milton is the fifth starter. EZ was the fifth starter and will shoot for that spot again. People say Belisle next year should be the fifth starter. And Lohse is the fifth starter.

    Maybe we'll get some lucky weather patterns next year. Sun, sun, rain, rain, sun.

    Nearly everybody's fifth starter is the guy with issues, bouncing from bullpen to starting, or coming off injuries, or a project of some kind. Who has the best fifth starter in baseball? It's not a glamorous job.

    True. The Reds problem is they have several fifth starters, some of whom are in the #3 and #4 slots.
