If you believe in the law of averages, Lohse would be due for a good start......you'd think

Tonight would be a good time, the Marlins' lineup doesn't look too difficult after Cabrera.

The final twist of the blade on this season would be for the Marlins to end up ahead of the Reds. And they can tie in the standings tonight.

I picked the REDS to go 78-84, so I guess they are on a mission to prove me wrong! (or simply exceed my expectations)

I'd say the Reds' only hope for tonight is that Nolasco's going for the Marlins (he should really stay a reliever).

Glad to see Denorfia in the lineup and in center field again. In the month of September over 46 plate appearances, Chris is hitting .381/.422/.524, good for a .946 OPS.

In 146 career major league plate appearances, Denorfia has a .361 on-base percentage. In 2005 in Louisville, Denorfia posted a .391 on-base percentage, and then he followed that up with a .409 on-base percentage this season for the Bats.

That and the fact Cabrera has shortened his swing to try and win the batting title. He'll probably get 4 singles tonight.

Denorfia and Hatteberg lead off with singles, and Encarnacion follows with a walk. The bases are loaded with Dunn and nobody out.

Meanwhile, Marlins catcher Matt Treanor has apparently been ejected, presumably for arguing balls and strikes.

I swear to God, if Dunn hits a grand slam, I will hold it against them. Don't tease me, stupid team, when you've just taken yourselves out of the race.
