Shouse replaces Capellan. Encarnacion hits for Edmonds. Juan, not Edwin. Edwin plays for us. Juan used to, but since this isn't softball there wasn't anywhere for him to play.

Belliard will be taking his swings at Francisco Cordero with the bases loaded and 1 out. Brady Clark takes over in RF.

Nice game, Shouse, way to get 'er done. Seriously, I appreciate the managing by the Brewers. No one can claim they are throwing in the towel here at any point.

Alright Belliard vs Cordero. Bases loaded 1 out. Brewers up 2-0 in the home 8th.

Belliard lines out to right. Pujols half way down the line can't tag up and the Cards still don't score. 2 outs.

Belliard lines out to RF. Runner on 3rd DOES NOT tag.

2 outs. Bases still loaded. Yadier Molina up.

Scott Speezio on to hit for Molina. Tony LaRussa weakening his defense for the 9th. Say it ain't so. Jeff Suppan NEVER loses.

Ugh. Spiezio triples in 3 runs. Cards lead 3-2. Reds season is on life support at this point.

Re: Cardinals game thread vs MIL 9/30

The umpire did not call strike three because the catcher did not catch the ball right, the next pitch is a bases clearing triple.

Speizio triples, all 3 runners score (obviously). 3-2 Cards.
