    Valentin K's, season over.

It's been a fun ride, should be interesting to see how the winter plays out with WayneK getting his first full winter.

It was nice to hear Steve and Marty talking earlier in the inning and Steve thanking Marty for the past few years. It should be interesting to hear Steve sign off for the last time.

    Was that really necessary?

I felt in the beginning of the season that if they finished .500, I'd be satisfied. I am not satisfied.

The end of the Reds season always makes me sad. No matter the record.

This game is a true metaphor for the Reds' season: and then there were none.

That is not fair. There is plenty of room for criticism of the team on this board; that's one of its primary purposes (and if we're honest with ourselves, we should ALL be criticizing them in some aspect or another). Many people present legitimate criticisms and I don't think it's right to single someone out like that.

I'm not usually interested in getting involved in infighting but that was direct and unnecessary in my opinion. Nobody on this board rejoices when the Reds lose.

Nope, harang's right. I've gone off the grid, and I'll be mailing Krivsky a turd-bomb in tomorrow's mail.

I'm building a statue of Albert Pujols out of mashed potatoes, and drinking chicken blood to cast a spell on Freel.

    I've had it. I've gone Reds-Satanic.

Well, Steve just made me cry with his signoff.

I will miss him. I really, really liked him.

It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.

Glad to see Belisle throw six shutout innings. Could definitely be a player in the rotation for next season. I like his stuff. Would love to see him make some big gains next season.

I didn't watch the game (Obviously) but Belisle looked like he kept his pitch count down today. It would be good to see someone like him step up but we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully he's not fool's gold.
