Could there be a more definitive proof that spring training is absolutely meaningless?
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner

We showed our sensitive side today. No one wants ARod crying and throwing a hissy fit. Big ups to the Scrappy Boys for having human emotions.

We are still completely undefeatable. It's science.

As far as winning and losing goes, spring training is absolutely meaningless. I'm more worried about player progression and fine-tuning than wins and loses right now.

    But winning is always nice.

I'd rather have a win than a tie. I'm not going to spend any time worrying about it but a win is always nice, especially against a team like that Yanks.

Makes me think of a regular season game in 2005... a tie.

Thursday, June 30, 2005 vs. Astros.
    > Game called after 7 innings due to rain. All stats counted and the game was officially a tie game.
    > Game was replayed two days later as a doubleheader so both teams would have 162 (wins plus losses) games.

Dave Williamsy. Living on the edge. Scattering hits, needing help.

I thought Livingston actually looked better than Williams ever did. He is definitely the type of pitcher who needs to be hitting his spots though. He definitely isn't throwing as hard as he could. He has said he feels that he is more effective when he takes something off.

Don't give any ideas to Bud... he is rumored to be busy already with putting American Idol and The Apprentice ads on the backs of each umpire.
