I don't know. I was afraid this would happen. They talk a good game about Jr. getting a day off every now and then but they always put him in there when he says he can go. Admirable on the part of Jr. to want to play all the time but Even the good Lord rested on Sunday. It's a perfect situation to put Josh in there against a righty who gives up a lot of hits. But I guess Josh will have to wait to pinch hit against Wuertz again.

Hamilton's under the weather. He hasn't felt great in a couple days but feels really crappy today. His wife left the game last night with it, and now it's got him. It's been going around his home.

He may get to pinch hit or play late in the game if he feels up to it...and there's a chance he may not even make it to the game.

    Unfortunate, but it happens.

This is according to the pregame you've yet to hear.

Sorry to burst the bubbles of the Junior Conspiracy Theorists

This lineup is the same but with JV in for Ross. This is perfectly fine with me. It's not like JV is batting 6th.

That stinks. Hopefully the lack of outfield depth doesn't "reward" us with a late game Conine outfield sighting today.

Now that this has been debunked by Matt, it is a moot point.

But I hope this isn't the case this season. Next thing we know, Jr will prove himself right into the operating room.

I'm not sure how saying Jr. wants to play all the time when healthy is a conspiracy theory.

So, if Hamilton's iffy to even pinch hit, why is Valentin starting?

Him telling the manager to play him over somebody is....I thought that's what some people were getting at.

    Maybe not.

Yeah. Technically this will go down as the third different lineup in three games so far this year, but it's hard to call this one "different."

Hmm, Lohse vs. Marquis, hope both bullpens are well rested.
Nothing to see here. Please disperse.
