Why in the heck is Brandon Phillips sacrifice bunting in the first inning?!?

A bunt to advance a runner?

    This team does that?

Is anyone having trouble with the widescreen MLB tv? The stream keeps freezing on me more than the other type.
    Thank goodness for baseball.

The fact that Dunn can't buy a hit right now makes Phillips bunt even dumber. This team lacks baseball smarts.

Let's assume that two of the Reds' strong suits are starting pitching and the power hitting outfielders. Then Hamilton, Dunn, and Griffey hitting early (and often) at or near the top of the lineup, potentially (at least) will help build an early lead while the starter is holding the opposition down.

Then later, when the staff needs the strongest defense -- when the weakish bullpen is in the game -- the Reds play their three young "centerfielders": Hamilton, Freel, and Hopper (as they did Tuesday night)to protect the league.

    If were only that easy!

Giving away that out really killed that inning. I can't wait to hear whose brilliant decision that was.

I was hoping for another Griffey homer ala last night to get Hamilton in, but a fly out to center....let's hope they turn it on in the middle and late innings like last night!!!!
