    American Heritage suspends publication

    I just on the web site of American Heritage magazine that it is supending publication of the print edition of the magazine.

    Interesting. I have been subscribing for several years and just decided to let it lapse since my free time for reading has diminished. I enjoyed it and I'm sad to see it go.

    Me likewise, this year was the first I haven;'t received it in awhile, it was a good read.

    Sadly for fans, this is a trend for niche publications in the magazine industry. The Postal Service isn't doing them any favors with all of these increases and the ad money is moving online.

    Yes. I expect that a lot of political opinion magazines, from "National Review" to "The Nation", and points in between, will eventually end up being internet-only publications.

    American Heritage's web site is reporting that it will resume publication of the magazine in December.
