Looked to be a nice recovery by Arroyo in the 3rd.

Thought Phillips was going to walk there for a moment

    BP!

Thanks for reminding me--I had forgotten about that. Martin has something coming to him.

I don't care if he's scrappy or plays the game the right way or hustles, you can't steal 1st base.
Hopper is a serviceable backup OF with a good OBP vs. LHP.

Hope Junior's ok....we don't need Conine playing the outfield....or a 24th pitcher on the roster

Gonzo with his 7th walk since Memorial Day already. Look out Barry Bonds.

That just about says it all.

How can you get picked off first by the catcher with the bases loaded and two outs?!

Thom Brennaman asks Brantley if there is any 2B in the last 10-15 years who he would rather have than Jeff Kent. (He prefaced it by saying not necessarily today, which I assume is because younger players like Chase Utley and Brandon Phillips are on the rise.) Brantley says no, but if you let him go back to the 70's, he would take Joe Morgan.

I agree with Jeff regarding Morgan, but even in the limited time frame that Thom mentioned, I would take Roberto Alomar from 10 years ago over Kent.

Jeff Kent - Hall of Fame?
