    It's Juan Castro's fault.

Wasn't Keppinger the guy that broke his hand in spring training?

    Or was that someone else?

My gosh. Look at that mug on Texiera. His head's bigger than Dibble's.

Another wonderful game. Why couldn't this happen in April...or May...or June?

I looked at the stands tonight and no one was there. It's sad considering how well this team is playing right now. No, we're not going to win anything, but this team compared to the teams Narron marched out there is far superior. Kepp has helped and Josh is back. there is no boneheaded baserunning from certain players and no sure outs from the catcher position. Think about it. How many times did Ross come up and goe Oh-for-four while "calling a good game.?" Huh? How many times did Ryan Freel thrill the crowd with a great catch while striking out more than he should? Addition by subtraction. Gonzalez thrills, but Kepp produces and Arroyo just does it (for only 5.1 innings--I know).

Excuse my optimism. It's rare, I know, but I like this team nowadays. Addition by subtraction. Think about it.

    Wow. That's impressive!

Tony Perez never spent a day on the DL.

You lost a shiny penny. Rangers scored nine runs in the 2nd game and 39 for the double header that broke an AL record for most runs in a DH set back 1937 by the Tigers.

I really like Hamilton and Keppinger at the top of the order. Keppinger is winning a full time job for next season this season. If he keeps this up he may be the 3rd baseman next year.

Believe me, when it's near 100 degrees, I'm not going to the game. The heat and the humidity is outrageous. For the past month, except for 3-4 days, it's been in the 90's/100's.

    Nope. Not me!
