Phillips with another nice play at second base, and he's made two or three nice plays already in this game.

As for the Lizard, he's doing better, but he needs to get out of this jam without giving anything up.

Not being a smart alleck here, but fat chance. Grand slam. Wow.

And the Lizard loses it just like that. Sanchez hits a two out grand slam, and the Pirates lead 5-0.

Giving up a GS to Sanchez is just sad. What's even sadder is Machanin playing Ellison over Dunn/Hamilton. Way to lose a game before it even started.

Some smart pitching by Ramirez this inning.

With lefty on the mound who has thrown 49 pitches through 4 innings, my guess is the game is pretty much over.

If there was any game in the series we were destined to lose, this was it.

They've got their best starter on the mound and he happens to be in a hot stretch and is left handed. We are a great hitting team vs.right handers but other than Philips, are poor against LH pitchers.

We had a similiar chance against Willis were we trotted out the mostly RH lineup in hopes of countering the LH pitcher who was also death against LH hitters. It worked that time.

We have our worst of our 4 starters going in this series.

The result isn't surprising, but are chances are better in the next 3 games.

It's not like Dunn and Hamilton have been hammering LHPs this season. Questionable? Without a doubt. Losing the game before it even started? Hardly.

Elizardo Ramirez and a few more just like him are the reason this team isn't going to play .600 ball and win the Central this year.
