If there's one team that you might logically see the L-R-L-R thing against is the Pirates.

They have 3 lefties in the bullpen and 2 are quite good, seasoned LOOGY's.

And it's why EE should be batting second.

This lineup would have won one of the games yesterday.

3-1 pitch at Dunn's ankle was called strike two.

That awful call results in a doubleplay.

Questec please. I'm tired of these ankle strike calls on Dunn and Hamilton every night.

Case in point why Phillips ahead off Dunn isn't a good idea. Phillips needs to be the one moving Dunn around the bases, not the other way around.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

So, instead of 2 men on and nobody out, where the REDS are ready to bust the game open, it's nobody on and 2 outs and the Pirates are right back in it.

Agreed, as long as a RH pitcher was going for the Bucs.

Though it's unlikely that Harang will give up 3 runs in this game, even against this really, really sizzling Pirates lineup. He's really been on a roll for 3 months now.

I hope Harang also gets that low pitch called strikes.

Nope. That same pitch was just called a ball on McClouth, who is about six inches shorter than Dunn.

    I love watching Harang pitch.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
