Cardinals already have the pen up, as a Dunn double makes it 3-0 with one out in the first.

Beating the Cardinals and the Cubs, regardless of the record, situation, games back, etc. always makes me happy.

    Keep it up!!

Valentin swung at ball 4 on 3-1. He refuses to walk and then K's.

Lack of plate discipline prevented the Reds from having a potential huge inning. Three runs is nice, but Valentin and Hatte killed that rally.

He thinks he's going to get the "big hit" everytime he comes up to bat

After tonight's game the REDS will have their 2nd month this season in which the team had less strikeouts than the opposition for the month... April (164 - 174) ; August (158 - 179).

The REDS have only done this one time from 2004 through 2006... July 2006 (173 - 174).

I'm getting the Cardinals announcers. Is George Grande in tears over Edmonds?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The cameras aren't showing Welsh holding Grande back from jumping down onto the field.
