    Phillips stepped off the bag to try and avoid a slide by Pujols, but Pujols then decided to not go to second and instead ran in Phillips throwing lane.

    Pujols ran directly at Phillips, and wasn't close to second base. It was an obvious case of interference, and the Reds got screwed for4 runs.

    Absolutely. Even the Cards' terrible weekend announcing team (who repeatedly have professed their dislike for Phillips because of his "showboating") thought Pujols interfered.
