Shearn sacrifices the runners over for Hamilton to drive in.

Hamilton does just that as he singles to drive in the two runners. 5-0 Reds.

Shearn must love these hitters, he's never lacked for run support.

I know it's been said before but dang, Hamilton has a nice, quick bat.

Two more runs for the Reds with Josh's single to right-center.

I lost my feed of WATH. MLB cops must have came and shut it off.

Jr. grounds out to end the inning.

Try a sling box. If you have Direct Tv at home you can watch your home tv on your computer. I am at work watching my bosses Direct tv broadcast on my computer. Isn't technology great.

On a day like today, when the game is a 'morning game' here in CA and I'm just working around the house, I take time to stop and watch two hitters bat: Jr. and Hamilton. I love their strokes and I like to watch how they approach each pitch and each AB.

Today I've added Votto to that small group since it's the first time I've had a chance to see him bat.

I'm at work too. No DirecTv in sight here. I have DISH at home so I doubt that it works with them

Many Reds fans may not yet realize it, but a significant chunk of Votto's offensive worth is his ability to take walks and get on base. Votto's not going to hit .325, and he may not hit 30 homers, but he'll take his share of walks and get on base. If Reds fans are going to like him long term, they'll have to accept the premise that his offensive worth revolves quite a bit around the base on balls.

    2006-07: Votto's PA/BB is 7.88. Per 550 plate appearances, that's 70 walks. Per 600 plate appearances, that's 76 walks. Per 650 plate appearances, that's 83 walks.

The difference between getting 80 walks a year and getting 30, is often the difference of making the major leagues and not.

If Phillips walked 80 times a year, his OBA and OPS would be about 100 points higher, and he would be a near MVP candidate. As it is, he's a very nice player with great counting stats, but is likely offensively overrated.

EE knocks in Dunner. Nice work.

    This team is so schizophrenic.
