Well, you got to get "Dennis" the at bats to keep him sharp... but it does seem old since Suppan is a righty. [haven't looked up his stats against Suppan].

I'd love to see Hamilton, but a guy batting over .300 in his spot isn't too bad, I guess...

Josh Hamilton should play everyday. This is like the Rockies sitting Matt Holiday so Jim Terkowitz can get at bats.

Josh Hamilton is the future. Norris Hopper is not. Play Hamilton everyday.

I don't get it. Hamilton can't hit lefties that well. Does continuing to not play him against lefties help him hit lefties any better?

BTW, the middle of our line up is 25 for 50 with 6 HR (5 from Griffey), 6 doubles and 11 walks against Suppan.... I predict a win tonight.

Suppan is a righty, which makes it even more baffling that Hamilton is sitting.

I'm guessing it has to do with the sore hammy.

That's what I'm guessing, plus just giving Hopper some AB's which Mackanin indicates he likes his subs to get. Now that we've officially beefed about it, Hopper ought to tear the cover off the ball.

Glad to see Votto in the lineup again tonight.

Would like to see Keppinger get a start for Gonzo tonight...but other than that, not bad, not bad.

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

No, but not failing will help him keep his head straight IMO. The Reds are trying to use Hamilton is situations in which he'll succeed which I think is a good strategy for the time being.
School's out. What did you expect?
