Nah, Puffy and RFA. It's called the can't type syndrome combined with the fact that I just got off the phone with my friend Ray Everson.

Reds missed a golden opportunity there. Oh well.

Dunn got ahead 3-0 before grounding into as FC on 3-1 to end the inning.

1st and 3rd nobody out, and nothing.

That is the story of the Reds season, ripe with promise, unfulfilled.

Nice catch by Dunn at the wall for the first out.

NICE catch Dunner against the wall. Wouldn't want to try that against the bricks in Wrigley.

1-2-3 third inning by Homer. All three pitches seem to be working tonight.

    After 3 innings, Giants 1, Reds 0.

Cain at 56 pitches, Bailey at 45 pitches.

That first changeup he threw to Valez on the bunt attempt was expecially nasty. It looked like it dropped off a table.

The walks are one thing but hits mean nothing if they don't result in a run or drive in a run or move over a run that scores. Twice tonight, Hopper has hits that resulted in nothing.

I am very Pleased with Homers effort after such a long stretch off. The first inning made me worried but since it has been quite impressive.
    2006 Redzone mock Draftee's- 1(st) Daniel Bard(redsox), 1(st sup)( Jordan Walden (Angels), 2(nd) rd.- Zach Britton(Orioles), 3(rd) Blair Erickson(Cardinals), 3(rd) Tim Norton( Yankees),(cuz its a Tim Hortons thing

    Let the conspiracy theories start!!!

It is clear Homer has better "pop" and "bite" on his pitches than the first time we saw him. Maybe like Flyer said, he had been having leg problems. Though he must have been having them for awhile because he looked that way in AAA before his callup.

I would take Matt Cain over Bailey as a pitcher however. Cain has better explosion threw the zone than Homer. Bailey gets his outs more Harangian with his long delivery that he hides well which causes hitters to misjudge his pitches leading to frustrating popouts. Always go with the guy with the more explosive arm.
