The Reds really ticked the league off with that protest didn't they?

Even the Giants announcers are commenting on how the Reds are getting no help from the umpires.

I am not one to question Bronson, but he throws curves on a 2-1 count and a 3-2 count to a pitcher who is 1-for-13 this year. Both are balls. Walk.

Roberts flys easily to Ellison to end another jam for Arroyo.

    0-0 after 4 innings.

Easy inning for both pitchers. Keppinger gets a 2-out walk and is the only base runner for either team in the 5th inning.

    0-0 after 5 innings.

Not your typical shutout after 5:

    Left on base:
    Reds 6
    Giants 7

    Pitches:
    Correia 76
    Arroyo 74

Nobody takes pitches in this game?

Since becoming a REDS pitcher Arroyo has walked 4 batters in a start 5 times (2 times in 2006 and 3 times in 2007). The REDS have a 0-5 record in those games.

He had never walked more than that in a start for the REDS until tonight.

You know a game is kind of boring when the biggest highlight through 6+ innings is some dummy falling out of his kayak going after a prized Javy foul ball.

    Pretty funny though...

With or without Bonds I have long contended that the Giants are baseball's most boring team.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

That strike call to Hopper was 8-10 inches outside. Memo to Reds: Never protest a game again. The Reds have been blatantly screwed by the umps in every game since the protest.
