    5-4 Giants.

Forget any talk of Harang receiving Cy Young votes after this pathetic outing. This is by far his worst outing of the season.

Harang is leaving the ball up to every batter. He needs to be sit down for his own protection.

Realistically he didn't have any chance anyway with Peavy pitching like he is. I just hate to see him throw every pitch up and lose it so quickly.

He's had worse. April 13 vs CHC. Aug 19 vs, Mil.

    Inning got away from him.

At least the Cubs and Brewers have good lineups. This lineup of the Giants is the worst lineup I have ever seen. Even worse than some of the Reds lineups in late 2001.

Meanwhile, Hopper has walked three times today.

Nothing gives me more confidence than seeing Buck Coats at cleanup.

Harang probably would have received a couple votes but an outing like this late in the season could cost him those few votes. Maybe not fair but it's possible.

IIRC - he didn't receive ANY votes last year.

The ball Feliz hit wasn't even a strike.

When he's not really in the discussion of Cy Young (and let's not kid ourselves, Aaron's a country mile from true Cy Young consideration), I don't get too worked up about him not receiving votes. Maybe that will shrink his price tag when it's time for his next contract.

Harang is still a stud. So he lost it late in a meaningless game late in the season? I think its time to shut him down. He has been ridden hard the last two years and the with the Cubs pulling away, the Reds really have no more meaningful games. Save the wear and tear for next year when it may mean something. The guy has to be worn out.
