He has. In his favor he has finished the season VERY strong. If he had a Sept like he did last year the "tune" may not be so sweet.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...

Tom and Jeff were talking about Reds having a better offense next year than this year. Maybe even best in the NL. Who says yes and who says no to that?

But why did it take Marty until only two weeks left in the season to realize it?

I think it could be better but it depends a lot on who, if anyone, gets traded and, as usual, injuries.

Because he finally realized that he was making himself look stupid and his ego is much too big to let that happen.

You can bet if Dunn starts off slow next Marty will be right back on his case and claim that "he knew it all along".
School's out. What did you expect?

Tom a the Cowboy talking about seeing a 'sea of Red' this weekend. Not wanting to see mostly blue at the ballgames. I hope Cincinnati carries through on that and sweeps the Cubs to knock them out of the division. That, IMO, would be a perfect weekend.

Javier Valentin is a terrible defensive catcher. I hope the Reds realize this and go out and get another, hopefully younger catcher.

So it can't just be as simple as a change in opinion based on what he's seen?

I'm torn with seeing a sea of red vs a sea of blue. Nothing is more annoying than being there when Cub fans take over the stadium, however, part of me would like to see all blue this last series in hopes of embarrassing ownership into possibly making some moves.

What he's seen hasn't changed nearly as dramatically as his opinion. Adam Dunn didn't become a good baseball player this August.

There's only one answer: someone beat Marty in the head with the stats stick. The statistick, if you will.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
