It's amazing when you look at it, but Harang's 2004 and Belisle's 2007 are eerily similar. While I'm not expecting Belisle to turn into another Harang, he's a guy I'm glad we've got in the organization and in the rotation right now.

Sending Gary Majewski into a game is like waving a white flag. And watching Gary Majewski in a game is a complete waste of time.

Marty: I guess until the last day of the season they are going to remind us what an aweful bullpen this is.

I don't think announcers should be ripping anyone in a manner like that. It's okay to analyze players, but I think 'ripping' is unacceptable when talking about performance. That's just not an announcers role IMO.

At least he's accurate this time.

I'll get ripped for this, but you ever wonder what this team would be like with Kearns in the outfield on days like this and Majewski and Bray somewhere else? I just think Kearns is a better option than Coats and Ellison and what we got for him (I'm discounting Lopez) has been a big fat nothing. Yes, Bray has potential but he looks to be someone who'll have potential for his whole career without doing much. And Hamilton and Gonzales would still be here.

I'll also get ripped for this, but Marty's a fan just like you and me. No, it's not professional, but neither was Jack Fleming, one of the finest announcers when he was calling a West Virginia University or Pittsburgh Steeler game. Neither was Harry Caray when calling a Cubs game and I could go on.

He see a bullpen that stinks and continues to call it. And why on earth Mackanin would put him in a close game is far beyond me. There were other choices this late in the season.
